Today's Blog post is all about the ‘Love My Skin - Clear Skin Compact’ Since becoming obsessed with skincare I'm always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to help improve my skin and make it look its best!
The past week I have been trying out the Clear Skin Compact to see if using Red Light Therapy would help improve the appearance of my skin.

Red Light therapy is a clinically proven technology to help clear spots through active cell regeneration, reducing inflammation, redness and healing time.
When our skin cells are stressed, they produce a substance called Mitochondrial Nitric Oxide (NOmt), which reduces the ability of the cells to fight infection and repair themselves. This can result in skin damage, including spots and acne.
Red light therapy helps to remove the NOmt, letting oxygen back into the cells so they can start working effectively again and this has been proven to improve healing.
ISN'T BLUE LIGHT THERAPY TYPICALLY USED FOR SKIN CONCERNS?
Both red and blue light therapy has been shown to be effective in helping manage acne but they work in slightly different ways. When blue light reaches the sebaceous glands in the skin, it can help excite compounds (porphyrins) inside acne bacteria which when activated, can kill the bacteria from the inside out. Red light penetrates deeper into the skin and can help reduce inflammation and improve healing by promoting cell regeneration.

As you can see from my before and after pictures Red Light Therapy has definitely made an obvious difference to my skin. You can see areas were my skin is significantly less red. Breakouts have also healed extremely quickly and I definitely think the compact has reduced the hateful red marks left from spots! Typically my skin would take a few weeks to heal properly from breakouts whereas The Clear Skin Compact has speeded it up so much and within just one week!

- Very easy to use
- Visibly reduces redness
- Visibly heals and fights spots
- Skin has a noticeable glow
- Didn't block my pores or cause irritation
- Didn't need to change my typical skincare routine, it just fitted into it!
Cons
- While it is Travel- Friendly I would love for it to come with a charger rather than being battery powered (fingers crossed for an update!)
- It can be hard getting time to use it for the recommended 3X a day if you work and typically wear a full face of makeup
As you see I don't have many complaints, it's very easy to use and does the job, what else could you want?
